     Hey guys! Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving?!? This is absolutely crazy... Anyway. I've been wanting to do this post for a long time and thought it was finally time to actually do the work (i.e. take the pictures) and post it.

No phone for 24 hours

     Hello all and welcome back to my blog! Two weekends ago I attended the retreat that my church's college and career puts on every year (I would definitely recommend checking out the sermons - so good!) and I decided that the Monday following the retreat I'd turn my phone off for the whole day.

Disneyland versus Disney World

     I'm back with another blog post! I was planning to do this sometime in June or July, but time clearly got away from me and I barely posted. We visited Disney World in late May as part of our biannual family vacation. I've been to Disneyland a bunch, so I thought I would do a little post comparing one to the other.

Happy birthday to sweet Mango!!

     Yesterday was our dog Mango's fifth birthday! She's a Boxer and in October, we will have had her for five years. I can't believe it's been five whole years already! I was looking back at some of the pictures yesterday and thought I would share a few with you...

Dear Senior Year...

     Um. Hello. I graduated...?!? Last night was our church's homeschool group graduation/promotion ceremony and I walked the aisle and got my diploma and switched my tassel and all that jazz. I am not prepared for this!! I've seen a few posts like this so I thought I might as well word vomit on here and just spill all my thoughts and such. So here goes...

My Airplane Essentials

     I'm back again!! So far, so good on this whole posting thing, eh? As I'm writing this, I'm preparing for a road trip across the country to Florida that will accomplish two goals: first, get one of our cars to Florida in preparation for moving and second, to get me out to Florida for our biannual family vacation.

My favorite things about homeschooling...

     Hullo all! Guess what... This is my last official week of homeschooling!! (*stressing just a tad*). I thought what better way to celebrate this momentous occasion by sharing some of my favorite things about homeschooling. I've had thirteen years to experience it so I'd say I'm a pretty good expert. XD

The Basis for My Beliefs {a philosophy paper}

     Welcome! Every once and a while I enjoy sharing school papers or reports that I write. Partly because sometimes I'm really proud of them, or I think they're really interesting. Or I'm just too lazy to put together another post. Either way, this is a paper I wrote for my philosophy class last fall. It was a challenging assignment, but really interesting.

My favorite things about spring...

     Hi! Can I first mention that the title sorta rhymes... favorite things about spring. If there was only one thing that was my most favorite about spring it would rhyme completely. But I can't pick just one thing... I'm too indecisive. XD

My Nighttime Routine

     Welcome back!! Today I'm going to be sharing my nighttime routine. Most of this consists of what I use to take care of my face and teeth and such, but I wanted to expand it beyond that to what I do before actually going to bed and stuff like that... It'll make more sense in the flow of the actual post. XD

     Hey all!! So... I'm back in the saddle! (Sort of.) I've already scheduled several posts for the upcoming weeks, so hopefully these will keep coming. Anyhow... I'm kinda fascinated with the whole "tag" concept, so I thought it would be fun to come up with one on my own! 

Celebrating Thanksgiving

     Hey all! I figured since we just celebrated Thanksgiving, I'd try to answer a question that's been on my mind: Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving when we do? I looked into the issue a bit online and pulled from a paper I wrote a while back about Thanksgiving.

     Hey everyone! I feel like I need to come up with a better way to start these posts... But anyway. Recently I got a new purse - it's actually a backpack because I wanted to switch from my old crossover style purse. So far I really like it, and I thought I'd just show you what I keep in it.

Thoughts on Being Seventeen + on life

     Guys. I'm seventeen. *leaves for a few minutes to have an existential crisis. I'm just kidding. I wouldn't call it a crisis per se... More like a realization that I'm nearly an adult and a tiny minor freak out about how I need to maybe act a bit more adult-ish. (Also sorry I didn't post last week... I'm getting some posts scheduled so hopefully that won't happen again.)

 

Time for a break...

     Whelp... Hey. I'm writing this Sunday night as I try to plan out my week. Let's just say that I'm just a little stressed right now. So I'm going to take a one or two week break from blogging. Hopefully, I'll be back when life settles down a bit.

Things about Ireland

     I'm here again! Sorry this was late... I had 25 hours of work last week plus the first week of school, so it was a little insane. I was going to do this post earlier, but I sorta forgot about it. When we were in Ireland, I made a list of things there that were different or seemed funny/strange to me. Even though we spoke the same language and lived in more or less the same way, there were so many things that were different and caught me off guard.

     Hello everyone! So sorry this is a bit late. I was going to put something together but it's taking longer than I realized so this will have to do instead. It's a narrative paper that I wrote during writing class last year.
