How to spend your day in Norco

Welcome back y'all! Almost exactly a year ago I found out that we were moving to Florida! So I thought I'd do a little post explaining what you should do if you visit Norco for a day. These are most of my favorite spots and I do miss them just a little bit... But it's all good. XD

Halloween Costume Ideas

It's getting to be that time of year where I freak out and try to decide what to be for Halloween. I've only gone trick-or-treating twice (once when I was six and once when I was sixteen), but our church in California did a trunk or treat/harvest fest every year, and so does our new church here in Florida.

My capsule wardrobe experiment

Hey guys! So I missed last week, not because of Dorian (it hit the Bahamas really hard, but completely skirted us) but because I'm lazy and not motivated. But I'm here this week to make up for it!

Making temporary housing feel like home

Hello all! If you've been tracking the news, you might know about a wee little storm called Hurricane Dorian. It's been making its way (sooo slowly) towards us, so we've been doing a lot of prep for that - putting shutters up, getting food and water together, buying a lot of batteries, and so on.

Modesty + some modesty hacks

Hey guys! Today I'm going to tackle a bit of a controversial subject - modesty. I know there are a bunch of different views on what is modest, what isn't modest, why we should dress modestly, etc. I could probably go on and on about different issues that are discussed and debated when it comes to modesty, but I won't do that at this moment.

Tips on getting your license

Hey all! I'm back with a sort of sequel post to last week's, this one about getting your license. A license is basically the key to freedom, which means its really important. XD Also, since I'm 100% in the test (one for one!) I once again figured that I'm obviously the expert on this whole subject.

Tips on getting your permit

I'm here!! *throws confetti in the air* I hope you all had a great Halloween/Reformation Day/Wednesday if you don't celebrate it. XD I got to work at Chick-fil-A that morning and we were not allowed to wear our uniform. We had to come in a costume. I wore a black shirt with a paper fork print-out sewn to it. Yup, I was a fork in the road.

How to Learn

Whelp! School has officially started!! This is the beginning of my third week, and I'm already falling into a bit of a rhythm which is really good. One of the classes I'm taking this year is English 1A at our local community college. It's going really well so far. We've been learning about how our brains learn.

Road Trip Essentials

And I'm back from my trip! We were in Arizona from last Monday until yesterday, so I'm recovering a little bit still. But it was super fun. It is a decently long drive out to Phoenix, where we were (about five hours) and we've gone on four month-long road trips before.

Lessons from Junior Year

Hey everyone!! With school fast approaching (eek!) I thought I'd share some things I learned in my junior year. Junior year was - for me - the hardest year of school yet, by far. I took several college classes, which definitely caused some of that, but I think I garnered some good tips to share with y'all. :)

Organizing Inspiration

Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed reading about my trip to Ireland last week. These past two weeks have been sorta weird as I get back in the rhythm of being at home and in the United States. XD But I'm well adjusted to the time difference and it's been super great to be back with friends from here - even though I do miss friends from Ireland.

How I Blog

So! I thought I'd show you (or tell you) the behind-the-scenes of how I blog. It really isn't that interesting, but I thought it would be fun for me to do... Maybe it will be interesting? I'm quite proud of how consistent I've been over the past year and a half-ish.

Five Useful Phrases in German

Hello all! I know I've mentioned several times that I really enjoy German. I think I'd enjoy any language I'm learning, but German is so cool and old and the country has an amazing history. So I really like German. :)

Piano Teaching Update (plus games!!)

Welcome! Today (as you may see from the title) I'm going to be giving an update on my piano teaching progress, as well as sharing some of the games I'm playing (or am planing to play) with my students.

Piano

I love the piano. I've been playing it since I was nearly six (that's nine years now!) and it is the most amazing instrument ever. Don't get me wrong - I also love the violin (strings in general, really) and some wind instruments, but you can express so much more with the piano.
