My bookmark collection

Hey guys! Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving?!? This is absolutely crazy... Anyway. I've been wanting to do this post for a long time and thought it was finally time to actually do the work (i.e. take the pictures) and post it.

How to spend your day in Norco

Welcome back y'all! Almost exactly a year ago I found out that we were moving to Florida! So I thought I'd do a little post explaining what you should do if you visit Norco for a day. These are most of my favorite spots and I do miss them just a little bit... But it's all good. XD

Halloween Costume Ideas

It's getting to be that time of year where I freak out and try to decide what to be for Halloween. I've only gone trick-or-treating twice (once when I was six and once when I was sixteen), but our church in California did a trunk or treat/harvest fest every year, and so does our new church here in Florida.

No phone for 24 hours

Hello all and welcome back to my blog! Two weekends ago I attended the retreat that my church's college and career puts on every year (I would definitely recommend checking out the sermons - so good!) and I decided that the Monday following the retreat I'd turn my phone off for the whole day.

September Happenings

Hello all! Haven't done one of these in a hot second... XD Also don't know if I've ever used that phrase before. I guess there's a first time for everything! Seriously, the last time I did one of these was in April...

Hypocrisy

Hey y'all! I'm back this week with a bit of a different type of post. This is something that I've thought about doing for a while, and have actually had a draft of since November (yeah, almost a year), but I'm finally getting around to polishing it up and showing it to you!

My capsule wardrobe experiment

Hey guys! So I missed last week, not because of Dorian (it hit the Bahamas really hard, but completely skirted us) but because I'm lazy and not motivated. But I'm here this week to make up for it!

Making temporary housing feel like home

Hello all! If you've been tracking the news, you might know about a wee little storm called Hurricane Dorian. It's been making its way (sooo slowly) towards us, so we've been doing a lot of prep for that - putting shutters up, getting food and water together, buying a lot of batteries, and so on.

My gap year and fall plans!

So... as you may or may not know, I graduated high school this spring. I'm not going to college this fall (the plan is to go in fall of 2020, though) and I'm taking a gap year. In April I gave a little bit of a rundown of what I was planning to do, but since then I've nailed down a lot more of the details, so I thought I would share that.

Disneyland versus Disney World

I'm back with another blog post! I was planning to do this sometime in June or July, but time clearly got away from me and I barely posted. We visited Disney World in late May as part of our biannual family vacation. I've been to Disneyland a bunch, so I thought I would do a little post comparing one to the other.

Cookies and books!

Welcome back!! I've been holding on to this idea for a pretty long time now, and I thought it was finally time to actually do it. XD It's a little book tag that I originally found on Scattered Scribblings (now Savanah Grace Writes) where you equate a different book with eight different types of cookies.

Happy birthday to sweet Mango!!

Yesterday was our dog Mango's fifth birthday! She's a Boxer and in October, we will have had her for five years. I can't believe it's been five whole years already! I was looking back at some of the pictures yesterday and thought I would share a few with you...

What I've been reading recently!

I don't think I've ever done this - and I'm too lazy to actually go and check. Since we've moved I've started reading a lot more. Not as much as I would like to, but a lot more than I have over the past year or so. So today I thought I would recommend a few of the books I either have read, am reading, or am going to read in the near future.

Florida Update

Hello there, my fine friends! I'm back after a brief summer-y break with another post. The last time I posted we were still in California, so I thought I'd do a quick little Florida update... What I'm up to, what the plans are for the next few months, and so on.

Dear Senior Year...

Um. Hello. I graduated...?!? Last night was our church's homeschool group graduation/promotion ceremony and I walked the aisle and got my diploma and switched my tassel and all that jazz. I am not prepared for this!! I've seen a few posts like this so I thought I might as well word vomit on here and just spill all my thoughts and such. So here goes...

Bible Update: Moving Edition

I like to do these types of updates every once in a while both to keep myself motivated and accountable (in a very cursory way) and to share what I'm doing with you guys to give you ideas/help. As if I could really do that... Maybe I flatter myself too much.

My Airplane Essentials

I'm back again!! So far, so good on this whole posting thing, eh? As I'm writing this, I'm preparing for a road trip across the country to Florida that will accomplish two goals: first, get one of our cars to Florida in preparation for moving and second, to get me out to Florida for our biannual family vacation.

My Last Week of High School

Um. Hello. What even. I'm done with high school... And it's a little strange. My college classes ended the week of May 6th, but I actually ended up working ahead so that I finished a week early. I realized that I probably could've finished two weeks early but I wanted to take pictures for this post, so I restrained myself.

My favorite things about homeschooling...

Hullo all! Guess what... This is my last official week of homeschooling!! (*stressing just a tad*). I thought what better way to celebrate this momentous occasion by sharing some of my favorite things about homeschooling. I've had thirteen years to experience it so I'd say I'm a pretty good expert. XD

April Happenings

AHHHHHHHHH. It's May tomorrow. Y'all. Next time I write one of these posts it will be a lot more interesting, and also it'll be the last one I write from California. I'm not quite prepared but y'know who cares? XD April was a pretty fun month... it's definitely gotten a lot busier towards the end of the month which is both stressful and exciting.
