We ate a ton of food here. It was probably some of the best fried chicken I've ever had
This is an ironclad ship - one of the first of it's kind - but it's the Mississippi River version. It wasn't meant to go on the ocean, and wouldn't survive long if it did.
Went here to check out a store some people from a show on HGTV have. The show is called 'Home Town.' Super cute downtown area.
And who doesn't love this??
The parsonage Martin Luther King, Jr. lived in (in Montgomery) from 1954 to 1960.
At Tuskegee... Really interesting and very well put together. I'd recommend it if you're ever in the area. We kinda had to rush through it, which was a bit of a bummer...
The prison was on the other side of the green strip of land (a stream/marshy area) and then up the hill towards you.
This is a reconstruction of what part of the prison might of looked like.
This is at Wormsloe in Georgia. Super beautiful, and a lot of cool history. (I love history... Can you tell?)
I just got this for the part that says 'Charleston Tea Plantation.'
Here are a bunch of the tea bushes.
This is at Colonial Dorchester, a old colonial settlement that is being excavated for ruins and artifacts.
U.S. Customs House in Charleston, SC. Really grand building.
Also in old Charleston, SC. Didn't get a whole bunch of pictures cause it was hot, humid, and my feet really hurt. (I'm a wimp - I know.) But it was cool!!
